Dual-Lite, a Hubbell Lighting, Inc. brand, expands its outdoor, wet location listed emergency lighting product capability with the introduction of the PG series. Combining a solid-state LED light engine with a precision engineered optics system, the PG series provides several focused and wide area illumination patterns, including a one foot candle minimum 10 ft. X 12 ft illuminated path, and a one foot candle average 6 ft. X 29 ft illuminated path. These design-optimized emergency lighting patterns are achieved without "head aiming" or further adjustments.
The LED light engine and optics system includes:
- Four, high-output long-life LEDs, arranged in redundant pairs for reliable performance in the unlikely event that any single LED should fail
- An electro-polished aluminum reflector with 95% minimum reflectivity
- An acrylic lens capable of transmitting 92% of the available light output
A sturdy die cast aluminum housing and backplate combined with a premium quality gasket prevents moisture intrusion and allows the PG series to be installed in outdoor, wet location conditions. An optional battery heater allows installation outdoors in colder climates.
Top location conduit access, universal electrical box mounting KO pattern and housing/backplate "guide pin/socket" arrangement provide fast easy installation. An AC lockout circuit prevents battery discharge when the unit is installed without AC power present.
Spectron® self-test/self-diagnostic circuitry is standard, providing automatic 28-day testing of all system operating parameters including AC power, battery condition, LED circuitry and transfer capability. A manual "push to test" button allows a 90-minute system test to be performed at the user’s convenience. The brownout detection circuit senses a significant drop in normal power supply voltage and turns on the emergency lights to supplement voltage sensitive lighting. Following a power outage, a time delay retransfer circuit holds the emergency lights on for 15 minutes after the return of normal power, allowing additional time for HID lighting to recover.
Available in white, silver or dark bronze, the PG series is the perfect outdoor emergency lighting choice for restaurants, office buildings, schools, retail outlets, health care facilities, hotel/motel installations and more. The PG series is UL listed to Standard 924 (Emergency Lighting and Power Equipment), UL Wet Location listed and meets Life Safety Code (NFPA 101) requirements.
