New Extended Temperature Range Device Expands Dual-Lte’s Emergency Power Pack Offering
Dual-Lite has announced the introduction of a new Lampak® extended temperature range compact fluorescent lamp emergency power pack. Emergency power packs provide battery-derived inverter power for at least 90 minutes to fluorescent lamps during an interruption of the normal power supply. The UL-listed, UFO-12W-CLD product, with a temperature range of –20° C (-4° F) to +55° C (+131° F), is intended for use in areas subject to hot, cold, and/or damp conditions.
Utilizing a heavy-gauge steel housing, the unit is suitable for use in commercial and industrial applications. The high-frequency inverter provides reliable performance in hot or cold conditions. A built-in heater automatically warms the premium nickel-cadmium battery to ensure the emergency lighting power pack is at peak performance when needed for emergency operation during a power outage. The UFO-12W-CLD can be used with one 13-42W quad or 18W-39W 4-pin twin, quad or triple twin tube compact fluorescent lamp. It is compatible with most 1, 2, 3, and 4-lamp electronic, standard magnetic, energy saving and dimming electronic ballasts.
The compact size of the UFO-12W-CLD allows installation on top of the fluorescent lighting fixture, or it may be remotely mounted up to 50 feet from the fixture.
